Made of old growth, heart redwood, the piece stacks vertically to accommodate glass shelving for the Bar. The motif draws on the surrounding landscape of "The Preserve", bringing the 'outdoors' indoors. The hand carved limbs of the oak trees extend naturally from the carved surface to support the glass. The subtlely cantelevered glass, floats comfortably on the limbs to create an intriguing visual experience. Everone enjoys recognizing the juxtaposition of reality transformed, and I believe that is part of the succcess of this piece. VE
